Been awhile , i tend to hibernate this time of year and come up with some ideas along the way.

Some new equipment was bought , went to Ruan and Mandy's place.

Setup and shot a JHB winter sunset.

The fun part of he shoot was watching Ruan run across a field of glass , with no shoes on....

Mic Check 1 ,2 .....

So i am reading Bill Bryson's book 'A Short History Of Nearly Everything".

Its more a short history of the earth and theories around the age and how we (humans) came about. Its amazing all these theories that date back a long time ago and then have been proven correct over the last couple of years.

The thing that really gets to me (i know we can look back now and gasp!) and i may cause a 'stir' here , but religion really held people back way back when.I mean the first dinosaur bone ever found was filed away, never to be seen again because most people were Christian and the  'Noah' story in the bible made them all single minded.They wanted so badly to prove that there was more to the earth than the bible tells , but alas couldn't.

That frustrates me , and here is the funny thing.... people are still so narrow minded. Imagine that!

So went over a shoot i did with Fear Of Falling 

and i think i came up with something that i would like to pursue over the year. Turns out that 2009 is going ok.

Maybe a new style , a fresh look.Who knows what will happen?

What are F.R.I.E.N.D.S

There are only a couple of people i keep dear to my heart. Meet my best mate in the world Bryan , i call him "B" and we call each other friends.

This might sound all weird but we really are true mates , ones that come once in a lifetime.

Im honoring him tonight just because i don really express what a great mate he is.He has helped me in my works a couple of times (standing on a bridge with me , trying to capture the moment of an evening in winter at 12pm) what fun!

I know we share some really funny moments together and the greatest thing is , we keep it honest down to the bone.If he thinks something he lets me know , we dont beat around the bush.

So these Photos were taken at the launch of his lovely lady Nadia's spa/beauty place one winter eve.Even though im sometimes the third wheel , they make me feel so at home all of the time.

New years - Yes the gate is open!

Another year has passed!

2008 great for experience , but for most , not a great year all in all.

So here's to a great 2009 , it will be better , it has to be!

The gate is open , its a little hazy as to if it is actually open , maybe some obstacles in the way? But get on going , It is open!

Im continuing with more work this year but ill keep you posted on things to come , i look forward to sharing the moments with you.

I have moved away from the hustle and bustle of this time of year to reflect.

Times have changed , as we chatted around the Christmas table.

What happened to the car trips to see the lights in town?

What happened to the whole family getting together?

When last did you see kids riding around on Christmas day , peddling on sparkling new bicycles?

When was it about gifts and buying?
